Planned Activities for the Center in the Next 5 Years
Ambuya Development Center has several objectives some of which are:

Improve the formal education of children in this area through different activities including pre-school education, primary school education, high school education, after school education, boarding facilities for children, equipping teacher, supporting Orphans and Vulnerable Children improve their health and help them develop their self-esteem

Equip Female Headed households, married, and single women on how to take care of their children and how to be industrious
-
Equip the youth with life-skills and give them an opportunity to associate, play together and be responsible for supporting others who need their support

Develop poor men on how they can gain their self-esteem and confidence and how they can move out of the poverty trap through different activities
-
Develop small enterprise activities for the center to help in sustainability and support beneficiaries with their own income generating activities

Raise funds for the center

Conduct civil education helpful to make people be responsible citizens and know their right
To achieve the above, ADC will have to do the following:

Drill 10 boreholes so that there is portable and safe water in the villages and reduce water borne diseases

A Community Hall at the center that will be used as pre-schools in the morning, after school activities in the mid day to afternoon and for community activities in the late afternoon. (Community members will be mobilized to contribute labor to this work). The community Hall at the center will have rural electricity, outdoor recreation facilities for children and indoor facilities such as TVs, musical instruments, computers, internet facilities.The Hall will help the community have access to agricultural information required to improve productivity

12 Classrooms for 600 Primary School Children with an administration block and then get government approval to run the school (school Headmasters requested that this be done because their schools are unable to provide good education since the pupil-teacher ratio in some classes is 1:120 or more.

An administration block for the Center and a small Clinic

10 Roomed Guest house at the main center which will be used to house volunteers and visitors to the center

50, two bedroom houses in town for rent and use the income for the sustainability of the center

A Maize mill house, One Community shop, One Bakery and small industries (soap making, juice making, chicken rearing, Milk Cows Keeping etc) will be established to support the sustainability of Ambuya Development Center

Train community members (school children, youth, mothers and men) in human rights issues and stop any gender violence in the area
-
Support 250 Farmers with agricultural production probably with small scale irrigation initiatives so that people can have more than one farming season

Promote sanitation and hygiene, disease prevention especially malaria and diarrhea, and how to live health lives.

Conduct vaccinations campaigns and ensure that many children are vaccinated
-
Train women and youth in entrepreneurship, sewing knitting, home management, cooking health food, care for the family etc
Generally mobilize the people to change their minds in terms of the possibilities that are there and how they can take advantage of them to develop themselves.
