Ambuya Development Center (ADC) is rooted on the Christian principle of love, with specific reference to the book of Luke 10:27 which commands us to “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind and love your neighbour as yourself”. 

We believe that it is only when we love God that we will have the love of the neighbour. Accordingly, when our motivation for engaging in development work is the love of God, the entire process becomes holistic. It is our desire that the work we engage in is fueled by our love for God, for it is Christ’s love that compels us. (2 Corinthians 5:14a).

Our mission is to empower orphans and vulnerable children, women, youth, elderly and disabled people for them to improve their livelihoods in rural Malawi. These beneficiaries are often left vulnerable and unable to sustain themselves and their families and ADC will do this through participatory formal education, workshops and training. We also aim to improve the livelihood of the communities we engage with in order to ensure its prosperity through the principles of cooperation, hard work and innovation.
